Champion Bears were introduced on April 4, 2002 for the World Cup being held that year. They were introduced or advertised again on May 3, 2002. There are a total of 32 Champion Bears (34 counting variations) and each one has it's Countries flag as it's nose and information about the countries history in the World Cup in their Hang Tag. Also, an additional (2) hang tag variations: Japan and Korean Champions were also released in their respective languages in the hang tag. These bears include an extra World Cup Hang Tag on their left ear. A fun fact about them is that they were retired as soon as their team was eliminated from the World Cup! The last of the Champion bears were retired on June 30, 2002. Champion Bears were also made in the Beanie Buddy form. Below is the list of all the Champion Bears plus a picture of each.
